Muktinath Yatra ( Salvation- Land) - 06 Nights / 7 Days
Presently Muktinath Helicopter tours cannot be performed due to protest by local people. Local People didn't allowed to land Helicopter in Muktinath.
Muktinath temple is the temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu is one of the famous temples in Nepal. Muktinath means “The god of Nirvana”. People will get relieved from their sorrows and miseries after visiting to this temple. Buddhists of Tibet called this temple as Chumig Gyatsa which means hundreds waters. They also called this temple is place of Dakinis which means goddesses that known as sky dancers. For Buddhists this place is one of 24 tantric places. Hindu believe that Lord Vishnu lives at Muktinath temple in the form of ammonites which means Shilas, they also called it Salagrama-Shilas.
Many stories related to this tell that Lord Vishnu turned in to stone and all stones are connected closely to the Kali Gandaki River which is the holy river. This river is also popular with the name Salagrami which is few hours walking from Muktinath temple.
Headwaters site, high mountain location, presence of some natural elements like fires and fossils are some signs of Muktinath temple which tempted people to search for god on earth, to establish supernatural field on earth, to found that supernatural world where Lord Vishnu with other deities abide. Muktinath has over all scared environment but some supernatural which is natural too is prime attraction and importance among all pilgrims. These wonder include fire on water, ammonites of some primitive sea creatures which are actually fossils of those creatures. Along with this the spring water, fossils and natural gas fire are three elements at Muktinath and popular species of trees which is also scared named as Populus Ciliate popularly they known as Bhot pipal or lekh pipal.
Location
Muktinath is the place which is located on the upper part of the River Kali and on north side of Himalayan ranges and in the southern side of Mustang. As per the globe the precise location of Muktinath is 830 53’E Longitude and 290 11’N Latitude at 3, 8000 elevation which is approximately 12,500 ft on the western slope of Damodar Himal.
In the high Himalayan arid zone Muktinath is located which is bordering China’s Tibetan Autonomous Region. The northern region of this is usually called Bhot and people live there is known as Bhotia.
Day 1-Arrive at Kathmandu
After reaching at Tribhuvan International Airport, guests will welcomed by representative of NTP who will guide you the way to hotel. During the journey towards hotel guide will brief you about program. Relax your mind and body at hotel.
Day 2- Sightseeing to Kathmandu
2nd day will be your busy day after having your delicious breakfast guide will take you for the sightseeing of Budhanilkantha temple, Pashupatinath temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bouddhanath Stupa.
Day 3- From Kathmandu to Pokhra
Reach at Pokhra through flight or by road, check in to the hotel and relax your mind and body. Enjoy your evening at Pokhra Lake side also enjoy shopping at Pokhra market.
Day 4- Pokhra- Jomsom-Muktinath Darshan
Fly to Jomsom in the morning at Jomsom airport guests will welcome by NTP representative and then transferred to the hotel. At hotel you will enjoy your delicious breakfast then leave the hotel for Muktinath. Jeep station is about 15 minutes away from the hotel from where you will drive to Muktinath. Jeep will drop you at jeep station at Muktinath, the Muktinath temple is at a distance of 20 minutes away from jeep station. At temple you will perform Puja i.e. worship to god and Darshan and also take bath in the scared 108 water spouts then Darshan to Jwalamai Darshan. Moving back to Jomsom through jeep enjoy lunch at hotel and take rest at hotel.
Day 5- From Jomsom to Pokhra
After having your delicious breakfast you will fly back to Pokhra. After reaching to Pokhra airport you will welcome by representative of NTP and then transferred to hotel. After enjoying your lunch guide will take you for sightseeing of Pokhra where you will see David’s Fall, Bindebasini temple, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Barahi Temple and K.I. Singh Bridge also you will enjoy ride of Phewa Lake.
Day 6- From Pokhra to Kathmandu
On 6th day you will fly back or drive back to Kathmandu. You will have a day for enjoying shopping and exploring Kathmandu.
Day 7- To Airport
Guide will then drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport for boarding to flight for onward journey.
