Commence the trip with exploring Kathmandu and its rich heritage, and as you take the scenic drive to Pokhara city, prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure.  The Muktinath Temple situated at approximately 12,000 feet is nestled in the Muktinath Valley. A part of the Mustang District at the foothills of the Thorong La Mountain Pass, Muktinath yatra used to be a popular trek until 2-3 years and is still a part of the Annapurna Circuit Trek.  The astounding views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges as you take the ATR flight to Jomsom is just one more aspect of this magical sojourn. Tour Itinerary


Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu

 

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, an Adventure Nation representative will be present to welcome you and ensure your smooth transfer to the hotel. Check into your room and freshen up. You have the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Kathmandu is a brawl of bewitching sights, distinct sounds, and tempting aromas; it’s a city filled with exquisite heritage, ageless culture, and welcoming, warm people. Walk the city’s busy streets and stop by courtyards filled with drying chilies and rice. Explore the tiny old workshops and have a spiritual moment at one of the many temples abounding with marigolds – there is so much to do here. End the day with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before you head back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 2: Kathamandu - Pokhara (200 KMS |4-5 hours)

 

Wake up to a beautiful morning in Kathmandu and spoil yourself to an appetizing breakfast before you head out for the Kathmandu city tour. Start with the Durbar Square, home to temples dated back to the 12th century and while you are there don’t miss out on the Kasthamandap aka the ‘Pavillion of Wood’, after which the city was named. After that head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Boudhanath Stupa - the largest temple in the country, followed by a visit to the Royal Palace. Walk through the palace courtyards and explore its rooms open for public, admire numerous chandeliers, the locally apt décor, and the large tiger-skin rug. The Pashupatinath Temple, the Kopan Monastery, and Garden of Dreams are some of the other spots to explore in the city.

 

Thereafter, make your onward journey to Pokhara. The approximately five-hour drive will take you past picturesque landscapes with densely forested mountains and blissful panorama. Drive alongside the Trishuli River hearing its gushing sound – the experience is nothing short of blissful. On reaching Pokhara, check into your hotel and rest after the drive. Overnight stay at Pokhara.
 

Day 3: Pokhara – Jomsom (35 minutes flight) | Muktinath Darshan

 

Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast at the hotel and proceed to the airport for your onward journey to Jomsom. While on this 35 minute flight, enjoy the views of the stunning landscape of the entire Annapurna Range; the glistening snowy-white mountain peaks of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri, the lush green ranges and valley, and the uninterrupted milky-white Kali Gandaki River. The magnificent panorama will be etched in your heart forever. On your arrival at Jomsom, check into your hotel and get some rest before you head to Muktinath Temple.

 

Muktinath when translated literally means ‘place of liberation or moksha’ and this temple is one of the most ancient Hindu temples of God Vishnu and one among eight sacred shrines for Hindus. After paying your respects to the deity return to your hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure.

 

You can spend your time here enjoying the dramatic landscape of the Annapurna range or stop by the Mustang Eco Museum for its recreated Buddhist chapel and the museum’s exhibit on Tibetan herbal medicine. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

 

Day 4: Jomsom

Day 5: Jomsom – Pokhara

 

Refuel your energies with a nutritious breakfast at your hotel and head to the Jomsom airport for your flight back to Pokhara. On your arrival at the city, check into your hotel and relax for a while, you have the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Pokhara is a laid-back little city with a serene air to it. Surrounded by the wonder of nature and the dominating snow-clad mountains, the place promises to relax you like nowhere else. You have the option to indulge in paragliding (at additional cost) amidst mighty mountains and white-water rivers or enjoy the tranquility of the Phewa Lake while bobbing paddle boats – Pokhara is enchanting! Overnight stay at Pokhara.

 

Day 6: Pokhara - Manakamana Devi Temple – Kathmandu (200 KMS| 4-5 Hours)

 

Commence the day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel and proceed for a visit to the Manakamana Devi Temple. A highly esteemed worship shrine of the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati (an incarnation of Parvati), the temple overlooks the Marshyang-di and Trisuli River valleys and offers a splendid view of the Annapurna, Manaslu and Himachuli mountain ranges of the north.

 

After paying your respects to the Goddess, head towards Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in the city, check into your hotel and rest. The evening is saved for leisure, and you can enjoy your time exploring the local markets, which are a plethora of colours; and shop for souvenirs for friends  and family. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

 

Day 7: Departure

 

Wake up to another alluring morning in Nepal and indulge in a delicious breakfast before you check out. You have another thrilling option to be a part of before you conclude the trip. One of the most exciting flights in the world takes off from Kathmandu and it is called the Mountain Flight. It takes you right to the top of the world to watch the unbelievably majestic Mount Everest. It is an option that you can choose at an additional cost. Post this you can head back to the airport to catch your flight back home.
